A Leadership Community for Women Physician Entrepreneurs

You Know Medicine.

Now Let’s Build What’s Next.

FoundHER MD is a community for women physicians who are building something of their own. Whether you're growing a practice, launching a business, developing a new idea, or exploring what's next, you'll find meaningful connections, practical business education, and women who understand the journey.

Building More Than a Practice.

Building More Than a Practice

Physicians are trained to care for patients—not necessarily to build businesses, evaluate opportunities, lead organizations, understand financials, or turn an idea into something sustainable.

Yet more women physicians are creating businesses and opportunities beyond traditional medicine—from independent practices and consulting to education, technology, products, investing, and entirely new ventures.

FoundHER MD brings women physician entrepreneurs together to learn from one another, build business confidence, share experiences, and create what's next.

“We learned how to become physicians. No one taught us how to become entrepreneurs.”

FoundHER MD was created for women physician leaders who refuse to do it alone. A community built on trust, shared experience, and a belief that when women physicians rise, their businesses-and their lives-thrive.

Upcoming Experiences

Let’s Build This Together.

Every gathering is designed to spark meaningful conversations, lasting relationships, and practical ideas you can apply to whatever you're building—or thinking about building.

September 26th, 2026

Inaugural Gathering

“Wine, Women, and What’s Next”

Every great community starts with a conversation. Join us for an intimate evening of wine, light bites, and meaningful discussion as we gather the founding members of FoundHER MD. Together, we'll explore what this community can become—from the conversations we want to have and the experiences we want to create, to the challenges we want to solve together. Your ideas, experiences, and perspective will help shape the future of FoundHER MD from the very beginning. Whether you're already building a business, exploring a new idea, or simply curious about what's possible beyond traditional medicine, we have a seat waiting for you.

For those who will be calling in virtually and cannot attend in person, we will provide a Zoom link prior to the meeting taking place.

About the Founders

Dr. Sara Creekmore, D.O.

Co-Founder

Dr. Sara Creekmore is a physician entrepreneur who recognized that many of the biggest challenges physicians face when building something of their own have little to do with medicine and everything to do with leadership, business, and decision-making. Her vision is to create a place where women physicians can learn together, share ideas, build confidence as entrepreneurs, and support one another as they explore what’s possible beyond clinical medicine.

Dr. Creekmore is a board-certified ophthalmologist, eye surgeon, and founder of Tampa Bay Eye & Facial Aesthetics in Lutz, Florida. Her boutique practice combines advanced ophthalmology with facial aesthetics, allowing her to care for both the health and appearance of the eyes and face through a personalized, patient-centered approach. She specializes in advanced cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, eyelid surgery, dry eye treatment, and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation.

As both a physician and entrepreneur, Dr. Creekmore understands firsthand what it takes to turn an idea into a business while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care. FoundHER MD is an extension of that journey—a community designed to help women physicians strengthen their business acumen, grow as leaders, explore new opportunities, and learn from other women who are building, creating, and leading in their own way.

Nicole Simonsen

Co-Founder

Nicole Simonsen is a business transformation executive and entrepreneur who has spent her career helping leaders turn ideas and strategy into measurable results. She believes that many highly accomplished professionals—including physicians—have deep expertise in their field but have never been formally taught the financial, operational, strategic, and leadership skills required to build and grow successful businesses. She is passionate about helping women physicians strengthen their business acumen, make more confident decisions, and see entrepreneurship as an opportunity to create something meaningful on their own terms.

With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, Nicole has worked across healthcare, hospitality, and technology to improve performance through strategy execution, operational excellence, leadership development, and measurable outcomes. She is also the founder of SignalMD, a business advisory company focused on helping independent medical practices better understand their financial performance, operations, and growth opportunities. That experience has given her an even closer view into the business challenges physicians face when they step into entrepreneurship.

As an entrepreneur and co-founder of FoundHER MD, Nicole brings a practical business perspective to the community. She believes that when women physicians have access to trusted peers, practical business education, and honest conversations about entrepreneurship, they are better equipped to evaluate opportunities, build stronger businesses, and confidently pursue whatever they choose to create next.
